FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. WHAT ARE YOUR ACCEPTED METHODS OF PAYMENT?

A. I accept cash and direct bank transfers only. PayPal is also available upon request.

Q. DO I NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT?

A. Yes you are required to pay a £50 non-refundable deposit upon booking within 48 hours of my initial quote and acknowledgement of availability. If a deposit is not received after 48 hours, your date will be released and available for someone else to book. Once I have received a deposit, your date is saved and a booking confirmation will be sent out within 48 hours.

Q. DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM BOOKING FEE?

A. Yes, I have a £250 minimum booking fee in peak season (May 1st – September 30th) for Saturdays and Bank Holidays only. If your booking requirements do not meet this dependant on times requested, a surcharge may be applied to your booking. I have lots of great value bridal packages to accommodate bridal parties and offer services such as spray tans and nails which I will include in the booking amount.

Q. HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE ON THE DAY OF MY BOOKING?

A. This will depend on your schedule. I am happy to work any hours to accommodate bookings. When booking, please state the number of people you are enquiring about. I will work with your schedule and timings to advise how many people will be able to have their makeup professionally done on the day. If your party is larger than 6 people I am happy to accommodate however, this may require an early start time.

Q. CAN I BOOK YOU AS A SECOND MAKEUP ARTIST?

A. Yes, provided my booking requirements are met I am happy to be booked as a second makeup artist on your day.

Q. WHATS YOUR FAVOURITE STYLE OF MAKEUP?

i love all styles of makeup be it full glam, festival or soft and natural. I am able to adapt to suit your needs and i will work with you to create your perfect look for any occasion. I specialise in soft glam and 'no makeup' makeup. This is my probably my favourite style as I believe everyone is their most beautiful when they still look like themselves, just with a little touch of glam to enhance your natural beauty!

Q. DO I NEED A TRIAL APPOINTMENT?

A. I always advise trial appointments. It is perfect opportunity to create your dream look together. Trial appointments last between 1-2 hours depending on your individual needs. In this time, we will go through your skin needs and preparation for the day, makeup style and colour theory to produce your perfect look. A face chart will be completed listing the products used and pictures taken in order to replicate the look on your special day. I also advise all members of your party to have a trial to make sure appointments run efficiently on your special day and minimise the chance of any delays. These can be booked as a group booking. These are popular with my clients for girly night in together with a bit of bubbly!

Q. WHEN DO I PAY FOR MY TRIAL APPOINTMENT?

A. Payments for trials are due on the day services are received. This may be paid before you leave by cash or bank transfer only.

Q. WHEN DO I PAY THE FINAL BALANCE?

A. You will receive a confirmation after a deposit is received for your booking. You can pay the full balance whenever after you receive the confirmation. However, if you prefer to pay the remaining balance closer to your booking, I will invoice you 1 month before the date with trial payments deducted if these have already taken place and been paid for. I require payment in full 14 days before services are provided.

Q. DO I NEED TO PROVIDE ANYTHING FOR MY TRIAL APPOINTMENT?

A. It is great if you come to your trial with pictures and ideas of similar makeup that you like. This can be my own work or someone else’s. Please bear in mind that makeup will be adapted to best suit your skin, colouring, face shape and facial features.

Q. DO YOU PROVIDE LASHES?

A. All bridal bookings come with complimentary MAC strip lashes (usually £12.50). These lashes are synthetic and cruelty free. They are also handmade and by far the best quality lashes I have come across in the beauty industry. These can be worn up to 20 times after your wedding date.

Q. DO YOU OFFER PACKAGES?

A. Yes, a variety of amazing packages are offered. Please take a look at the packages section of the website. Any questions, please feel free to ask.

Q. WHAT BRANDS DO YOU USE IN YOUR MAKEUP KIT?

A. Having worked in the beauty industry over 5 years and having a passion for all things makeup, I regularly sample lots of different products from different brands and am always keen to try new releases. This is so I can offer the best and highest quality professional makeup for my clients. I only use professional makeup from professional industry recognised brands such as MAC Cosmetics, NARs, Charlotte Tilbury, HUDA Beauty, Clinique, La Mer and lots more.

Q. ARE YOU QUALIFIED?

Yes, I am a fully certified makeup artist. I have trained with massive names in the beauty industry including Estee Lauder, Clinique and MAC Cosmetics. I currently work as a professional makeup artist for Mac cosmetics certified to provide occasion and bridal makeup as well as makeup lessons.

Q. WHAT LOCATIONS DO YOU COVER?

I am based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire and predominantly serve the surrounding areas. I am happy to travel for destination weddings. I do not charge travel within Shrewsbury town however travel costs will be added to your booking at 30p per mile for bookings further afield.

Q. HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY WEDDING DAY?

My diary is open for bookings until 2023. I recommend booking your wedding as far advance as possible as dates in peak season from May to September fill up quickly.

Q. WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY BOOKING?

A. If you need to cancel your booking, I require 6 months notice of doing so. Your deposit is non-refundable however if you have paid anything further, I will refund the amount. If you wish to cancel your booking with less than 6 months notice the full amount will still be payable by the specified due date on the booking confirmation. Terms and conditions are provided alongside the initial confirmation and you have a 7 day ‘cooling off’ period to cancel free of charge. After 7 days you enter into a contract with EH Artistry and are bound by these terms and conditions. Terms and conditions can also be viewed in full on this website.
